Important Update: Temporary Adjustment to Our Emergency Hours

Dear Valued Clients,

Caring for your pets is our highest priority. Effective May 1, 2025, SAVE – Southern Alberta Veterinary Emergency will temporarily adjust our emergency service hours and will not be offering 24-hour service. This proactive step allows us to continue delivering safe, high-quality care during our open hours while we work toward resuming full overnight operations.

While overnight services are temporarily suspended, we are working closely with nearby emergency hospitals to ensure your pet can still access urgent care when needed. Our commitment to supporting pets, their families, and the broader community remains unchanged.

Updated Emergency Hours – Starting May 1st

Open 7 days a week, 7:00 AM to 10:00 PM, for emergency triage, walk-ins, stabilization, and transfers. Emergency and walk-in services will close at 10:00 PM. Overnight care is unavailable at this time.

We are actively hiring and welcome veterinarians and veterinary technicians passionate about emergency care to join our dedicated team. This is a meaningful opportunity to make a real impact in a high-demand setting, and we’re excited to welcome new talent into our dedicated team.

Our team of over 25 dedicated veterinary professionals includes experienced veterinarians with extensive surgical experience who can perform a range of surgeries including emergency, orthopedic, soft tissue, exploratory, and wound repair. During emergencies, your furry friend is not just cared for – they are treated with thorough expertise and genuine affection.
