Lyanne is an experienced animal care professional with a strong background in veterinary assistance, neonate fostering, dog training, and behavioral support. She began her career volunteering with the Calgary Humane Society, where her dedication led to a role working with dogs facing behavioral challenges. Her passion for supporting fearful and aggressive animals grew further while working in the animal health department.
She went on to gain experience as an animal assistant in an emergency hospital. To expand her expertise, Lyanne completed formal dog training school, studying scent detection, tracking, obedience, and bite work. She later joined SAVE where she continues to advance her knowledge and to help animals feel comfortable during their visit.
Lyanne's career goal is to become a Veterinary Technologist specializing in animal behavior, with a focus on helping companion animals thrive in both medical and training environments. Lyanne enjoys spending most of her free time with her four dogs—two seniors, Rudy and Bailey, and two younger high-energy pups, Jax and Harley Quinn. Whether it’s training sessions, long walks through provincial parks, or relaxing at home with her pack, she finds joy and balance in caring for and bonding with her dogs.
